Window Services

We divide our services into four stages: pre-contract, post-contract payment, installation acceptance, and after-sales.

Pre-Contract

Design

Measurement and Design: Most retailers offer free measurement and design services.

Role of Interior Designers: Interior designers usually do not understand windows well, so the window design should be entrusted to professional retailers.

Design Requirements: First, let the interior designer propose the appearance requirements for the windows, and then have the door and window retailers design accordingly.

Differences in Design Services:

  • Street Shops: May only be able to provide simple sketches.
  • Brand Stores: May have full-time designers who can provide detailed drawings.
  • Premium Services: Offer complete effect and construction drawings, and the designer will also conduct technical briefings with the workers.

Communication and Quoting

Communication: Communicate fully with the designer, considering every detail.

Quoting Method: Usually based on the opening area multiplied by the unit price per square meter, plus the unit price of the opening sashes multiplied by the number of opening sashes.

Additional Configuration Costs: For example, if a single piece of glass exceeds a certain area (3 square meters or 4 square meters), there will be additional costs for glass thickening and hoisting.

Post-Contract Payment

Contract Content

Unnecessary Terms: The brand of the original glass, the material of the raw materials, and the performance of the windows cannot be appraised, and including them in the contract is useless.

Necessary Terms:

  • Measurable Parameters: Such as thickness, width, etc.
  • Window Structure Diagram (Cross-section): Providing a detailed explanation of the window structure.
  • Hardware Brand: Specify the brand and model of the hardware.
  • Liability for Safety: Clarify the responsibility for personal safety accidents during the installation process.
  • Contract Nature: Ensure that the contract is a consumer sales contract, not a service contract.

Payment Method

Common Installment Payment Methods:

  • 5/3/2 (initial/upon arrival/upon acceptance).
  • 5/2/3 (initial/upon arrival/upon acceptance).
  • 5/4/1 (initial/upon arrival/upon acceptance).

Full Payment Trend: Leading brand retailers increasingly require full payment upfront, and you should decide whether to accept full payment based on your trust in the retailer.

Installation Acceptance

Due to the strong professionalism, the acceptance work is usually completed by the homeowner.
There are many professional acceptance items, and online information may not be comprehensive or accurate. However, you can’t rely on others because even interior designers, foremen, or decoration supervisors won’t understand the acceptance of doors and windows; it’s up to us.

After-Sales

Manufacturer After-Sales: Many door and window manufacturers do not provide consumer after-sales commitments, and it is mainly the responsibility of the store.

Store After-Sales: The quality of after-sales service provided by stores varies, and some stores even claim to offer lifetime after-sales service.

After-Sales Duration: A general after-sales period of 5 years is considered reasonable. Most window issues can be discovered within a few months after installation.

Premium Store Services: Some premium stores offer after-sales maintenance services, such as cleaning, adjusting hardware, and oiling.
